MOTUL DOT 4 LV has a high boiling point and excellent performance at very low temperatures. (source: Motul.de)
Fully synthetic polyglycol-based brake fluid for disc and drum brake systems with manufacturer's recommendation DOT 5.1, DOT 4 and DOT 3.
Recommended for vehicles with anti-lock braking system (ABS).
Dry boiling point: 267.0 °C / 513.0 °F
Wet boiling point: 172.0 °C / 342.0 °F
Viscosity at 100 °C: 2.1 mm²/s
Viscosity at -40 °C: 675.0 mm²/s
Standards: FMVSS 116 DOT 3, FMVSS 116 DOT 4, ISO 4925 (Classes 3, 4 & 6), SAE J1703, SAE J1704
Advantages:
- Miscible with DOT 3, DOT 4 and DOT 5.1 NON-SILICONE BASE products.
Do not mix with silicone (silicone-based DOT 5) or mineral-based fluids (LHM). - Particularly long-lasting brake fluid due to the high wet boiling point.
- Easier fluid circulation in the precision mechanics of anti-lock braking systems (ABS).
- Corrosion-resistant; behaves neutrally towards seals in the brake system.
- Replacement intervals: Between 12 and 24 months (depending on the manufacturer's recommendation).
- Carefully seal and store in the original container to prevent moisture absorption.
- For safety reasons, brake fluids should not be refilled, but replaced!
Warning: Not miscible with silicone-based brake fluids (DOT5) and special fluids such as LHM. Fluid can attack the vehicle's paintwork
Scope of delivery: 1 bottle of brake fluid, content: 0.5 liter

Fully synthetic polyglycol-based brake fluid.
For the most common types of racing brake systems (steel, carbon, or ceramic).
Dry boiling point: 328 °C
Wet boiling point: 204 °C
Standards: SAE J 1703, ISO 4925, FMVSS 116 DOT 4
Advantages:
- Miscible with all DOT 3, DOT 4, and DOT 5.1 polyglycol-based brake fluids; however, not recommended
- Extremely high dry boiling point of 328°C compared to other silicone- or polyglycol-based products, ensuring safe braking even under the most extreme operating conditions
- Very high wet boiling point of 205°C compared to other silicone- or polyglycol-based products, allowing for safe braking even in high humidity or during wet races
- Under racing conditions, brakes are subjected to extreme thermal stress; therefore, Motul RBF 660 should be checked at least after every second race and replaced as needed
- Brake fluid absorbs moisture from the ambient air, which lowers its boiling point. For this reason, Motul RBF 660 should only be stored under constant climatic conditions, carefully sealed in its original container
Warning: Do not mix with silicone-based brake fluids (DOT 5) or specialty fluids such as LHM. The fluid may damage the vehicle’s paint.

Fully synthetic brake fluid based on polyglycol.
For the most common types of racing brake systems (steel, carbon or ceramic).
Dry boiling point: 336 °C
Wet boiling point: 205 °C
Standards: SAE J 1703, ISO 4925, FMVSS 116 DOT 4
Advantages:
- Miscible with all polyglycol-based brake fluids DOT 3, DOT 4 and DOT 5.1, but not recommended
- Extremely high dry boiling point of 328°C compared to other silicone or polyglycol-based products allows safe braking even under the most extreme operating conditions
- Very high wet boiling point of 205°C compared to other silicone or polyglycol-based products allows safe braking even in high humidity or rain races
- Under racing operating conditions, brakes are subject to very high thermal loads, so Motul RBF 660 should be checked at least after every 2nd race and changed if necessary
- Brake fluid absorbs moisture from the ambient air. This reduces the boiling point. For this reason, Motul RBF 660 should only be stored under constant climatic conditions, carefully sealed in its original container
Source Motul: FMVSS 116 DOT 4-STANDARDS
Extremely high thermal resistance and stability:
The very high boiling point (336°C / 637°F) of MOTUL RBF 700 FACTORY LINE is superior to conventional fluids DOT 5.1 (260°C / 500°F mini) and DOT 4 (230°C / 446°F mini) and therefore enables high braking efficiency even when the brakes are exposed to extreme loads.
Efficiency in wet weather:
The very high wet boiling point (205 °C / 401 °F) of MOTUL RBF 700 FACTORY LINE is superior to conventional fluids DOT 5.1 (180 °C / 356 °F mini) and DOT 4 (155 °C / 311 °F mini) and maintains full braking efficiency in wet weather.
DOT 3, DOT 4 and DOT 5.1 brake fluids have the property of absorbing moisture from the air, lowering the boiling point and increasing the risk of the "vapor lock" or "spongy braking" phenomenon occurring. The wet boiling point is measured after wetting the product with 3 % water.
Warning: Not miscible with silicone-based brake fluids (DOT 5) and special fluids such as LHM. Fluid may damage the vehicle's paintwork.
